1. electric charge of an object (muatan listrik sebuah benda)
The study about electricity ^kajian tentang listrik^ relates to what called berhubungan dengan sesuatu yang disebut "electric charge" muatan listrik , that is yaitu , a property of certain elementary particles ^sifat suatu partikel- partikel dasar such as ^seperti^ electrons and protons. .
Elestric charges (muatan listrik) are distinguish into two froms (terdapat dalam dua bentuk), those are (yaitu) positive and negative charges. for example (sebagai contoh), electrons are particles that are negatively charges (elektron merupakan partikel yang bermuatan negatif), while (sedangkan) protons are particles that are posiitively charged (proton merupakan partikel yang bermuatan positif), but they have the same amount of electric charge (tetapi keduanya mempunyai jumlah muatan listrik yang sama).
In this case (dalam hal ini), if an object has more protons than electrons (jika sebuah benda memiliki lebih banyak proton daripada elektron), the object is positively charged (benda bermuatan positif), and if an object has more electrons than protons, the object is negatively charged (dan jika sebuah objek punya lebih banyak elektron daripada proton, benda bermuatan negatif). however (bagaimanapun,/ akan tetapi), if an object has equivalent number of protons and elctrons (jika sebuah benda mempunyai jumlah proton dan elektron yang sama), the charges will cancel out each other (maka muatan- muatannya akan saling meniadakan) and the object is neutral / has no electric charges (dan benda dikatakan tak bermuatan/ netral).
